LiL Baby: Harder than ever

We delve back into trap music and review LIL Baby's Harder than ever 17 track release.  Since we have heard so much coming from the trap music community as well as the folks from Quality Control. Sean throws this young rapper on the table to review and get a good listen too.  A freshman for 2018, so we wonder if he will be part of the XXL freshman class of 2018. 

Royce da 5'9 : Book of Ryan

We return to reviewing R5 after being disappointed by the Pryhme release with Premier.  We open up this new release "Book of Ryan" and he takes us to some where we did not think he could.  We listened to so many artist spill their soul into their music but did not think it would be Royce adding to the quality of music being released. Because of the hype and interpretation of Donald Glover's alter ego Childish Gambino.  We talk briefly about the newly released video "This is America".  One thing I didn't catch was the lyrics because it seemed like a lot of repetitive chorus.  But check out the lyrics here for"This is America" watch the video and follow along.

J. Cole K.O.D new release

 We were so surprised with the new release of the new J. Cole release K.O.D.  First that it came out with no pre-release fanfare,  And with this different style he choose on this release, we hold our breath and break these tracks down to see if this is another J Cole masterpiece.

   

KOD is the fifth studio album by American rapper J. Cole. It was released on April 20, 2018 through Dreamville Records, Roc Nation and Interscope Records.

New JCole release review: 4 your eyes only (2016)

4 Your Eyes Only plunges deep into J. Cole's soul.  You can clearly hear it in his voice - pleading testifying, on the verge of cracking.  At Center stage with no featured guest, The North Carolina rapper speaks out on social ills, black lives and doing the right thing in a world of wrong.

We plunge into this amazing artist with a old hip hop head and a Generation X perspective.  Sean and I give props to a hip hop artist with a CD well made We revisit this because of the new release of the new K.O.D

Flatbush Zombies: Vacation in hell

Sean and I sit down to review one of BK's most oddest group.  The Flatbush Zombies.not every hearing from this group before.  I was pleasantly surprise to hear their 19 track release with a few features that went very well with this release

PRhyme 2 (Royce da 5'9" & DJ Premier)

Sean and I sit down and review the legendary DJ premier and Royce da 59 with their 2nd release from their collaboration PRhyme.  To me its about the production and giving props to Royce da 59 for putting out a stable release.

PRhyme is an American hip hop duo composed of Detroit-based rapper Royce da 5'9" and New York-based record producer DJ Premier. They created their own record label PRhyme Records and released their first album, PRhyme, on December 9, 2014, and its follow-up, PRhyme 2, on March 16, 2018 The production of each album is based on sampling a single artist's compositions: Adrian Younge for PRhyme and AntMan Wonder for PRhyme 2

Phonte / Foreign Exchange 2018 Review

Today we are pleasantly surprised by this new release by the Rapper Phonte.  I know him from his collaboration with the Dutch producer Nicolayand their group called the Foreign Exchange.  Sean knows him from his time with the rap group called "Little Brother".  We check out his new release "No news is good news"
