Google I/O 2017 Review

This episode of Tech Talk we review the highlights and Alicia's visit during the Google I/O conference in Mountain View Ca.  Alicia compares the previous year's conference to the current one and highlights the standout issues she experienced.

Like always we break off topic comparing the other major players in their sector (Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Samsung, Facebook) with the products and innovations that came out during this conference.

Apple WWDC 2017 San Jose California

This episode, Alicia and I discuss the OS changes and the few hardware changes Apple presented during their conference in San Jose California.  This was a different feel compared to the other Apple conferences. and not just because it wasn't in San Francisco.  We mostly speak to our plus and minuses of what we saw and what we didn't see at the WWDC 2017 conference.

Alien Convenant

So Alicia and I went to see the newest version of Alien.  Alicia's not a fan of the Alien series but I actually enjoyed them.  Since we both enjoyed Prometheus, this movie supposed to have extended the thought of the previous movie and lets you know whats next.  Of course there is an abundance of stupidity in the movie but we have our opinion. 

Women of Apple's WWDC 2017

This episode Alicia speaks to women and children at Apple's WWDC 2017 in San Jose Ca.  Once again finding out their views and how they got into Tech. As an IOS developer, Alicia is right at home with her peers and the Apple employees she has come to know and love

Wonder Woman (DC comics) 2017

Before she was Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, Diana meets an American pilot (Chris Pine) who tells her about the massive conflict that's raging in the outside world. Convinced that she can stop the threat, Diana leaves her home for the first time. Fighting alongside men in a war to end all wars, she finally discovers her full powers and true destiny

This Episode Alicia and I go to a late showing of Wonder Woman because we heard so much about this movie as well as checking out the interviews with the stars and the director.  Since this is a DC movie not a marvel.  I was of course cautious of this being a good movie.  But we got to enjoy this film from a very different perspective.

Finances and Black Hair

This episode of CarWaxx we talk to a few ladies on how their hair is part of there everyday life and who they are.  But at the same time we talk about how ladies do what they have to do to balance that life and the personal decision on how they want their hair.  We talk about natural hair, weaves, extensions, et cetera. Also what impact does their hair choices impact their financial situation and societys reception of women of color who wear their natural hair.

Then, is there a market for women of color to capitalize on the huge billion dollar hair market, or is it something the corporate world and black society leaves in the hand of others?  And does this have  any effect on a woman self esteem?  Big question!!

I am here for the WWDC 2017 for Apple and we are visiting Vin Santo restaurante in San Jose Ca. Tuesday was the $1 oysters and 1/2 off wine bottles, so we stopped in for dinner. Here I have my taste of this interesting Pinot Grigio.

Black Panther Trailer review

Tonight we look at the Black Panther trailer for the 18th time.  The buzz and feedback has been so overwhelming that we had to do a review of the review of the trailer.    We also give credit to the original artist that does the theme (run the jewels - Legend has it)

Women of Google I/O 2017

Google I/O is an annual developer festival held at the outdoor Shoreline Amphitheatre in California.  Google I/O brings together developers from around the globe for an immersive experience focused on exploring the next generation of tech.  

For episode 5 of Women in Tech, Alicia attends the Google I/O conference in Mountain View California.  Alicia speaks to a few women with different talents she met at the conference on their experience and thoughts on women in Tech. Also little of her experience for the second time at Google I/O

Fate of the Furious (fast and furious 8)

When a mysterious woman seduces Dom into the world of terrorism and a betrayal of those closest to him, the crew face trials that will test them as never before.

Alicia and I have a late night movie watching binge.  Even though I've heard good and bad things about this movie The Fate of the furious.  The all star cast returns and we get to see all the new cast members and sit and watch how this next big blockbuster really turns out.  You might be surprised or not surprised by our review of this movie.  I should have listened to my favorite podcast Cinemile when they did the review of the movie as well.
