Our next R&B release is a spiritual amazing sequel to a seat at the table that transcend lyrics and takes you into another level of music. Sean and I kept silent about our review until we sat down to review it together. This is our thoughts.
When I Get Home is the fourth studio album by American singer and songwriter Solange, released on March 1, 2019. It is the follow-up to her 2016 album A Seat at the Table and explores Solange Knowles' hometown of Houston, Texas

Us - Jordan Peele
Wednesday Apr 10, 2019
Wednesday Apr 10, 2019
We watched Peele on his show a few times and felt he was a funny dude with a creative mind. But after seeing Get out and knowing he was one of the producers of Spike Lee's Black KKKlansman. We couldn't wait to see his next creative project. So with any of us knowing what this was all about. We were looking forward to understanding this new concept of doppelgängers terrorizing a family and why. A complicated plot and right in the middle of the new generation horror films. This was a very good movie to watch. Also an amazing performance by Lupita Nyong'o

The team drifts off into a sensitive subject about voters, people and citizens that wants to get their voices heard but unfortunately the democrats are following the old script of hitting the major cities (high population) and ignoring rural areas that helped to get Trump in office. lively discussion on where we should spend our time and effort. Or should we?

Gunna Drip or Drown 2
Monday Mar 11, 2019
Monday Mar 11, 2019
We jump into Gunna’s 2nd major release on his own and actually coming out in competition with the OFFSET release the same day. We’ve seen him in so many other artist releases that we wondered how his solo would come off. With his success with Lil Baby, we had some skeptical views coming in.

If Beale Street could Talk
Wednesday Mar 06, 2019
Wednesday Mar 06, 2019
This Movie was not on my list of must see even though it was an African American movie until I realized it was directed by Barry Jenkins. The brilliant writer directer of Moonlight (Oscar winning). Jenkins took the book written by James Baldwin and wrote the screenplay for this amazing romantic dramatic movie about two young lovers. Sadly it goes from Romance and love to drama and tragedy that you see intimately through out the movie. Should have been on the list for best movie of the year.

This week the team comes back to discuss the conclusion of the shutdown as well as the repercussion of Trump issuing a state of emergency to take border wall funds from the department of defense. Then we have a brief discussion of our literacy of our fellow citizens. Based on how the government is ran and how to enunciate what you are reading. Sorry, we just found humor in this.

So this interesting Eminem signed artist shows up and comes across as a very well seasoned story teller. We discuss his similarities to some well know artists as well as creating a very good West side sound and feel. And you know I’m loving the production.

2018 Bougie Black Brother network Music awards (#3)
Sunday Jan 27, 2019
Sunday Jan 27, 2019
We end the 3 part review of the music awards for 2018 with a few reviews that we enjoyed based on the lyrical abilities of these artist. Ending with the Album/Artist of the year, that doesn’t line up too well with the Grammy’s. Especially the crime of not including J. Cole. Go back and reference the reviews for these nominee's throughout the year so you can see where we were with our predictions.
Part Three:
Slept on album of the year
Creative album of the year
Underground Lyrical Album of the year
Hip Hop Lyrical Album of the year
Album of the year

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
Wednesday Jan 23, 2019
Wednesday Jan 23, 2019
So today we went to see the smash hit “Into the Spider-verse” with the kids. I thought it looked cool because I never got a chance to follow Miles Morales when he was released in comic book form. So when they said they would do a spiderman movie with Donald Glover. I was like Hooray its the Black/Hispanic spiderman. Well, that didn’t happen and then we find out its the MAU (Marvel Animated Universe) with multiple spider people (if you call a pig people?) Very different concept in which I never quite followed but actually knew a lot about.
Bitten by a radioactive spider in the subway, Brooklyn teenager Miles Morales suddenly develops mysterious powers that transform him into the one and only Spider-Man. When he meets Peter Parker, he soon realizes that there are many others who share his special, high-flying talents. Miles must now use his newfound skills to battle the evil Kingpin, a hulking madman who can open portals to other universes and pull different versions of Spider-Man into our world.
