We started getting ready for the Oscars, Golden Globes, Peoples Choice, Screen Actors Guild and more by going through the projected nominees for these awards.  Alicia and I start to look at the potential winning movies and actors/actresses.  This madly outrageously overrated movie was something we thought we needed to see.  Its easy to describe this common coming to age movie because the premise is basically the same.  Soooo, we sit down to tell you our opinions about this....critically acclaimed movie.  Which was rated very high with Rotten tomatoes.

Marion McPherson, a California nurse, works tirelessly to keep her family afloat after her husband loses his job. She also maintains a turbulent bond with a teenage daughter who is just like her -- loving, strong-willed and deeply opinionated.

Penrose Hill Magnus Nox Merlot 2013

Dark and smooth, the Magnus Nox 2013 Merlot is part of an epic vintage with high praise from some of the most revered critics in wine.  Light sage and plum accents play off of the oak flavors in this well-balanced, silky Merlot.

2016 Jacqueline Bahue Cabernet Franc

Opens with Spearmint, Mint, and Ripe Cherries. then to a bit of Cola, Vanilla, and Earth. Bit of an alcohol bite, but Oak & Cedar, Roasted Green Chile and Paprika. A noticeable Sandalwood scents. Long finish of Oak/ Cherry/ Strawberry. Nicely balanced Tannins and Acidity. 

End of year best and worst TV shows 2017

Alicia and I sit down and go through or best and worst TV shows of the year. We had some amazing TV series that the streaming services created and we really had a great time binge watching these series.  Unlike the theatrical movie releases, TV really created some serious well worth watching series. Some of these shows were international some were from smaller known creators.

Alicia and I sit down and go through or best and worst movies of the year.  This time we have our own list and we talk through what we saw was worth seeing and a few honorable mentions as well.  We think this was a really average year but there was absolutely some gems and trash that came out
