Sorry to bother you (the movie)

This independent movie made by rapper Boots Riley from the rap group "The Coup". Was something  Alicia and I saw previews on it and couldn't wait to see.  This strange and controversial movie is a strong commentary on labor and social interactions in our society today. It takes a turn towards the end but we left the theater with a good feeling about this creative well acted movie that critics are really ranting about.​​​​​​​

Russian Questions and the battle for Government dominance

The crew discusses the Russian summit and the ridiculous show Trump put on in front of the world and we talk about politics going forward to the November primaries.  When also talk about the local government elections in the state and  touch on the lack of coverage in the media locally and nationally.

The team finishes up our discussion with immigration and how institutions have been hiding undertake guise of religion to take advantage of women as well as keep women in subordinate positions based on religious doctrine.  We go back historically with immigration to bring in perspective of what our country has done in the past as well as what our needs are for today.

Sean and I discuss the significant and social impact the Carters release has done at this time.  from the differences in Beyonce, the production quality as well as the flow and presentation this major power couple has shown the world with their collaborative release.  The Carters!!

G7 Summit, Supreme court Muslim band, Racism and the decline of Media coverage

Catching up on the political topics of the day.  The guys come together to talk about crazy topics such as Tariffs, Space force and effecting the relationships with our allies.  We talk about the how the administration is allegedly effecting jobs, people with MBA's not getting hired and the Trump voters correlation with opioid use.  We also hit the media again with how they have failed the public with their reporting and the Muslim ban and Is it racist

    

Bluebeard (Netflix) Korean

 This awkard twisted serial killer saga, tells the story about a doctor that overhears some suspicious and perhaps brutal killing of someone nwhile they are sedated in his clinic.  This movie takes you on a plot twisting ride that makes you ask, am I right or am I wrong. Or Is it both.  Something to be prepared for.

 

 

A doctor finds himself in the middle of an unsolved serial murder case after discovering a secret from a sedated patient. When dismembered bodies show up close to home, he must solve the riddle before the killer realizes what he knows.

Kanye West "Ye"

As this is Kanye's month (June).  We start with his solo release Ye!  Even tho the album covers says,"I hate being bi-polar - its awesome".  Somebody is still a fan and somebody is done with his sh*t!!  But we both know that he is still one of the best producers out now.  we break it down!!

Hereditary (The Movie)

Alicia and I take a late night showing of an independent horror movie by the interesting production studio A24.  The critically acclaimed hit Hereditary.  A suspenseful Rosemary baby type horror drama that makes you keep up with so many details that you might just miss what was coming.  Amazing movie

ANON - Netflix

I sit down and review this Netflix movie called Anon short for anonymous.  A sci-fi thriller i thought would be pretty interesting and very relative to the privacy issue going on the present day with almost everything.  We go back to an amazing writer who produces and directs his own stuff and I do a single review of this movie because Alicia fell asleep on it. 

  

In the near future, private memories are recorded and crime has almost ceased to exist. But in trying to solve a series of murders, troubled detective Sal Frieland stumbles upon a young woman known only as "The Girl." She has no identity, no history and is invisible to the cops. Sal realizes this may not be the end of crime, and it could be the beginning of it

Childish Gambino - This is America (Donald Glover)

Because of the hype and interpretation of Donald Glover's alter ego Childish Gambino.  We talk briefly about the newly released video "This is America".  One thing I didn't catch was the lyrics because it seemed like a lot of repetitive chorus.  But check out the lyrics here for"This is America" watch the video and follow along.
