End of year best and worst TV shows 2017

Alicia and I sit down and go through or best and worst TV shows of the year. We had some amazing TV series that the streaming services created and we really had a great time binge watching these series.  Unlike the theatrical movie releases, TV really created some serious well worth watching series. Some of these shows were international some were from smaller known creators.

 

Trumps racism, conspiracy theories and Celebrity politics

This episode the team steps into the current debate (Or is it) about Trump being a racist based on his comments about Black countries being shithole countries. We dive into the possiblity of more celebrity politicians and if this will be the new normal.  Once again the conspiracies fly when we talk about Hawaii, fire and fury and other hilarious political shenanigans. 

Net neutrality and the Mueller email controversy Part II

Part two of our Rethink politics episode, we get into the Net Neutrality impact and we discuss the pro's and con of regulation and lack of regulations.  Should the internet be distinguished as a utility or is it a choice of the consumer the buy a service?  Great comparisons and dissenting opinions on this episode.  Also the FBI email controversy with the Mueller investigation

The Tax Bill, voting and Elections

The team returns just in time to discuss the Tax Bill that has signed into Law by the Trump.  We talk about the different changes and how we perceive the changes will effect us.   As three different perspectives gather their thoughts (single, married with child, married towards retirement)

Alicia attended the Anita Borg institute Grace Hopper Christmas party and decided to ask the women there about 2017.  The two questions were.  What was your thoughts about what happen to women and what women did this year?  Also as women what was accomplishments or what was this year like for you personally?  Alicia had plenty of diverse views as well as very personal stories. 

Doing better than you supposed to (WTTW)

The Welcome to the wall crew sits down and talks about the craziness of the current president then if they are where they should be in their life compared to others and the constant struggle to conform to a society that wants these young millennials to get a job and shut the F**k up.

Sexual Harassment in our Society

The team ends this two part session with opinions on sexual harassment in our society.  From the government to the everyday jobs we work at.  An interesting discussion even though their are no women in the room to give a first hand account of the disrespectful occurrences, most men never would recognize. 

The Punisher (Netflix)

Big fan of the comic book character Frank Castle.  I convinced Alicia to sit and watch this series with me on Netflix.  First introduced on the Netflix Marvel Series Daredevil.  I eagerly awaited for his series to come out.  Here's the surprising review by Alicia and I.
