This week the team comes back to discuss the conclusion of the shutdown as well as the repercussion of Trump issuing a state of emergency to take border wall funds from the department of defense. Then we have a brief discussion of our literacy of our fellow citizens. Based on how the government is ran and how to enunciate what you are reading. Sorry, we just found humor in this.

Vice (motion picture) 2018

So this one was another one of those movies that I hoped I would learn from as well as observe how so many government politicians welded power. Sitting through this I almost forgot about the corruption of the Bush administration as well as how our government was infiltrated by power hungry bureaucrats. Pretty amazing satire of true events of Dick Cheneys life.

Living through the 2019 Government Shut Down

The team gets first hand experience from one of our co-host the effects of the Government shut down of 2019. We discuss the differences between a contractor and a true Government employee under similar conditions. We then get into the Democratic candidates for President and off the wall stuff that Chaz always comes up with.

Another Government shut down and that wall again.

The team jumps into the beginning of the year almost the same way we did last year. A government shut down Only this year it’s Trump who proudly said he would shut the government down and it would be his fault. Sadly he gets amnesia and blames everyone else but himself. We also talk about the changes in the democratic party.

Black (Korean TV series) NETFLIX

This week i took a little more time than normal to watch a 18 episode Korean TV series called “Black”. A supernatural/serial killer drama that seemed very different for what I was use to with Korean TV series. A very good and creative series.

 

 

Black is the story of a grim reaper who is forced to track down his fugitive partner. In the process, he uncovers the truth about a series of cold case murders from 20 years ago. Investigating the murders complicates the reaper's primary role of guiding the deceased to their respective afterlife, especially after he falls in love with a mortal woman - which leads him to break supernatural rules against involvement in human affairs

Widows (the movie)

Alicia and I go to see one of our favorite actress, two upcoming black males and the amazing director Steve McQueen. This movie Widows was based on an 80’s British TV series that was rewritten by Steve and McQueen and Gillian Flynn (gone girl, sharp objects, Dark places) mixed review of this movie.

   

A police shootout leaves four thieves dead during an explosive armed robbery attempt in Chicago. Their widows -- Veronica, Linda, Alice and Belle -- have nothing in common except a debt left behind by their spouses' criminal activities. Hoping to forge a future on their own terms, Veronica joins forces with the other three women to pull off a heist that her husband was planning.

Restoring the freedom of the press and the White house Chaos

The guys return to discuss a little press freedom given to our country from the Constitution. If there is a way to get to Trump through the Mueller investigation, Congress or what ever. We discuss our conflicting views of the condition of the Trump white house and is the change in the house is really something that will change the country.

After the shake up (Election day 2018)

The guys come together to discuss the ongoing election results, the results from the primaries, the firing of the AG Sessions and so much more.  Our recap will be lively confusing and somewhat optimistic.  Even though the Democrats did well, we talk about the future with the new House, female congress boost and the many Governor changes in the states, Pelosi leadership and female leadership on the republican side.

As a follow up from our last Podcast. We jump in to a topic that may seem pretty extreme but it has been going on for years with black professionals, artist and lately career opportunities. We discuss from 3 different perspectives. Under the current conditions in the United States. Should Millennials leave the country for safety and a different life?
