ANON - Netflix
Wednesday Jun 27, 2018
Wednesday Jun 27, 2018
I sit down and review this Netflix movie called Anon short for anonymous. A sci-fi thriller i thought would be pretty interesting and very relative to the privacy issue going on the present day with almost everything. We go back to an amazing writer who produces and directs his own stuff and I do a single review of this movie because Alicia fell asleep on it.
In the near future, private memories are recorded and crime has almost ceased to exist. But in trying to solve a series of murders, troubled detective Sal Frieland stumbles upon a young woman known only as "The Girl." She has no identity, no history and is invisible to the cops. Sal realizes this may not be the end of crime, and it could be the beginning of it

Thursday Jun 21, 2018
iRobot's Roomba 690 vacuum offers lots of functionality for the price, including control via smartphone and support for voice commands through smart home devices. I finally had my wood floors down and I wanted something that could clean them every day. We try out the Roomba 960 and the affordable 690 and go through our test. These are Amazons best pick for vacuums.

- Patented 3-Stage Cleaning System and Dual Multi-Surface Brushes pick up everything from small particles to large debris
- Dirt Detect sensors alert Roomba to work harder on concentrated areas of dirt, such as high-traffic zones of your home
- Full suite of intelligent sensors guide the robot under and around furniture to help thoroughly clean your floors. Filters captures fine dust and debris

Jessica Jones (Marvel) Neflix season 1 and 2
Wednesday May 23, 2018
Wednesday May 23, 2018
Being a Marvel fan, and reading some of the later versions of the Marvel comics. I ran into the Alias series that jumped into realistic problems people go through but just happen to be super powered individuals. The Alias series centers on the emotionally battered Jessica Jones which Netflix saw some value to make it a series. Here is my take on season 1 and 2 and a little of the Defenders series.
This Netflix original chronicles the life of one of the darker Marvel characters, the mysterious Jessica Jones. When a tragedy puts an end to her short-lived career as a superhero, Jessica settles in New York City and opens her own detective agency, called Alias Investigations, which seems to be called into cases involving people who have special abilities. Suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome, Jessica wants to do good, but her primary interest isn't in saving the world, it's saving her apartment and getting through each day. Based on a graphic novel intended for adults, this is not a superhero story for the kids

Lost in Space reboot (Netflix)
Wednesday May 16, 2018
Wednesday May 16, 2018
We took the time the other night and watched the rebooted series "Lost in Space". Netflix rebooted this series and made it into something totally new (with a little references from the old 1965 series). Family dynamics, Girl power in lead roles and an interesting concept to possibly a very interesting series
It's 30 years in the future and the family has been chosen to start a new life in a space colony. On the way to what they believe will be a better world, the Robinsons' ship is abruptly thrown off course and they are thrown into a dangerous alien environment. Stranded with the Robinsons are unsettlingly charismatic Dr. Smith and inadvertently charming Don West, two outsiders who are thrown together by circumstance and a mutual knack for deception
