2017 Crios de Susana Balbo Rose of Malbec

A beautiful, deep, vibrant rose color. Has a surprising amount of body for a rose wine, and beautiful aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry and hints of spice. On the palate, the flavors of strawberries and young cherries come rushing in, accompanied by some spice notes and a clean, dry finish.

2017 Ashfield Cellars Petite Sirah

This Lodi California balanced Petite Sirah showed up well when presented. A lovely fruit forward taste with a balance of acidity, tannins and sweet blueberries. Light Oak taste that reminded me of the wooded areas of California. Nice flavored wine selection.

2017 Paperbark White Blend

Made from a nicely balanced blend of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc, 2017 Paperbark White Blend is pale straw with green hues in the glass, sharing aromas of citrus, lemon grass and papaya. The fruit continues to the palate, which has a refreshing lemon acidity.

 

2016 Pretium Sauvignon Blanc George Vigouroux

Very bright with a balanced minerality on the palate, this medium-bodied white from Côtes de Gascogne, France has ripe fruity notes of grapefruit, citrus, peach, and lemon. Behind the fruit and minerality there’s a well-placed note of cilantro and a touch of golden raisin. After a year or two of aging, this wine will get even better.

 

2016 Gracenote Pinot Noir

Strawberry on the nose, nice light purplish red color. First impressions are slightly sweet, notes of vanilla and cherry. Low acidity, very smooth mouth feel.

2016 Kremser Sandgrube Grüner Veltliner

Yeast, lemon balm and sage notes mingle on the nose. The palate adds saltiness and ample green apple and citrus flavors. The body is slender, its slight spritz further accentuating the fruit freshness. A refreshing summer wine with real verve

Caymus vineyard 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine is frankly ripe, showing waves of plum and boysenberry compote flavors gliding through, liberally laced with sweet singed vanilla bean and warm anise notes. Very polished in feel, the toast marrying nicely with the showy fruit on the finish."

This bold cherry filled Zinfandel was a delight and I was pretty pleased with the slightly woodsy taste and balanced tannic feel of this 2017 vintage

2015 Chateau Canon La Foret, Bordeaux Supérieur

Smooth, clarety, medium bodied wine. Good balance and soft tannins give this wine harmony and some style. Chateau Canon La Foret is a small producer in Lussac St Emilion whom we source a range of excellent well priced Bordelais wines. This from the 2011 vintage is good value for current drinking or laying down for a few years
