Here is are continued review of the hit series Queen Sugar.  We begin to unveil the secret lives of the other characters and things are becoming more and more interesting.  

Queen Sugar" tells the story of the estranged Bordelon siblings in Louisiana. At the center of the family are Nova, a journalist and activist; Charley, the wife and manager of an NBA player; and formerly incarcerated father Ralph Angel, who is searching for redemption. Following a tragedy in the family, the siblings must put their complicated lives aside so that they can come together to run the clan's struggling sugar cane farm. Also involved in the farm are Aunt Violet and family friend Remy Newell.

Atlanta is one of the top cities for young rappers looking to make a name for themselves in the business. Among those up-and-comers is Alfred Miles, a hot new artist who is trying to understand the line between real life and street life. He is managed by his cousin, Earn, who gets caught up in the local rap scene and his cousin's career after returning home to the ATL. Earn does whatever he can to try to get Alfred's career to the next level. Darius, the rapper's right-hand man and visionary, is also in Alfred's entourage. When Earn isn't busy managing his cousin's career, he spends much of his time with best friend Vanessa, who is also the mother of his daughter

Here is our take on the two new series

This episode we review the controversial Movie by Nate Parker The Birth of a Nation.  Take from the racist movie also know as The Klansman birth of a nation in the early 1900's.  This movie  tells the story of Nat Turner is an enslaved Baptist preacher who lives on a Virginia plantation owned by Samuel Turner. With rumors of insurrection in the air, a cleric convinces Samuel that Nate should sermonize to other slaves, thereby quelling any notions of an uprising. As Nate witnesses the horrific treatment of his fellow man, he realizes that he can no longer just stand by and preach. On Aug. 21, 1831, Turner's quest for justice and freedom leads to a violent and historic rebellion in Southampton County

This session is the review of the show on Netflix called The Get Down.  A hip hop anthology of the birth of Hop hop.  From Graffiti to hip hop on records.  We talk about our life during that time and what we saw through the eyes of children at that time.  Became the reality of what is being seen today.  We explore this with my Brother Mark as well as my Wife Alicia.

This introduction to Carr Waxx starts with the classic hits of Chic and the Sugar Hill Gang. The 70's and 80's were a time of street DJ's building their skills and competing against each other for crowd dominance.  Mark and Michael discuss their experience with these records and during that era
